I finally did a re-design of Kara after finally feeling a bit more confident with this new drawing method from life drawing. So i decided to show a comparison of how i drew Kara in 2009 to how I draw her now.

The professor was right....using guide lines does work XDDDDD

Will make more re-designs of my older chars soon.

Um, I think the nose and eyes are a little bit strange looking.
Not trying to discourage you, but I like the old one better.

It's ok I wasn't too fond on the new one either. I was merely experimenting. More than likely, I am reverting back to the cute style. Semi detailed doesn't seem to work out for me. At least not yet.

The older one looks cuter in general while the new version has shiny coloring... both are cute tough ^ ^

if you don't mind me sayin' though I think I like the old one's eyes a little more |D in fact the face in general seemed a bit more stylized...
but then again would that face fit on that body? :\ I dunno either way
